10:15AM-1:30PM: MIS Thoracolumbar Lab:

  1. Cadavers Lateral Decubitus and C-arm

    a) MIS Lateral Lumbar Approach, Interbody Fusion Lumbar Spine L1 to L5

    b) Demonstrate Lateral LIF and OLIF

  2. Switch to prone position

    a) MIS posterior instrumentation-Thoracolumbar spine and lumbar spine

    b) MIS deformity correction

    -Breakout Sessions Run Concurrently: 20 minutes each session

    a) Medtronic and Globus (2 robots each; 20 minutes each station (only attend one station)

    b) SMAIO (2 SurgiSTUDs; 20 minutes)

    c) SI Bone; Iliac Fixation and SI Fusion for ASD (20 minutes)

2:30-5:30pm: Open Thoracolumbar Lab

a) Insertion of Hooks and Pedicle Screws Thoracic and Lumbar

i) Sacro-Pelvic Fixation

ii) S2Al-Ilium Screws

b) Posterior Column Osteotomies

c) Type 1 and Type 2

d) Type 3 and 4

Posterior Vertebral Column Resection (VCR) of the Thoracic Spine T9
